Hugh Success at the Glitzy Ball

The 3rd Annual Charity Ball at the Dublin Hilton, Malahide Road, was a fantastic success. A host of glamorous guests arrived and enjoyed the night's fantastic schedule of events and entertainment.

Media lovelies including Siobhan O'Connor from 98FM, Joanne Hegarty from Ireland on Sunday and Isabella Chudzska from RTE were joined by top Irish Model Sarah Kavanagh, fashion designer Virginia Macari at what proved to be a fabulous and lively night.
MC Jenny Buckley of Channel 6 , who looked stunning in green, was joined by Brian Iredale, Director of A - Z Children's Charity on the podium to spend a few moments sharing the story of Sam, a 5 year old HIV infected child, who is now benefitting from the A - Z nutrition and anti-retroviral medicine programme. All guests got to see for themselves the real benefit that this programme can have on those lucky enough to be on it. As Brian Iredale informed all listeners, these children all live below the dollar a day line.

Between a silent Auction and Raffle envelopes on each table as well as ticket sales a profit of over €16000 was made. With A - Z not receiving any government funding, this is a significant contribution from any fundraising event.
The entire committee who input so much of their time to ensure all the finer details were taken care of to ensure a fantastic night were absolutely delighted with the success.
By the first song of Rock-a-Hula Baby, who were accompanied by Grainne Brookfield (of Holly&the Go Lights) the entire dancefloor was full and continued to be flooded throughout the night.
